About the event

As a non-native English speaker, are you having trouble expressing yourself effectively to your peers or interviewers? The biggest cause of communication breakdowns is when non-native English speakers mispronounce certain words while communicating in English.  Poor spoken English and cultural differences can lead to the employer having a negative bias towards you.

Good mastery of English is the key to better your career prospects in the Australian job market.

Our Career Starter Workshops are a series of 6 weekly classes designed to help you pave your career path, understand how to work with people from different backgrounds in an Australian workplace, and prepare you for different types of job interviews. This will all be conducted in English, providing you an opportunity to improve your English speaking skills by interacting with other international students and the MARKCubator team.

What to Expect

  • Meet workshop instructor Dr Theresa Teo and learn how she helped other international students like you.
  • Gain insight into your future career path and how to pave your way towards working and living in Australia
  • Impress your future job interviewer by learning about the different types of interviews used by Australian employers and how to master them.
  • Have a chance to practice English communication and learn how to work with people from diverse backgrounds in an Australian workplace setting.

Join this workshop now to prepare yourself to integrate into Australian culture, and be one step closer to your dream job!

MARKCubator - Your Aussie Partner.

*Career Starter Workshops run every Wednesday from 6 April to 11 May 2022  for 6 workshop sessions at 1pm-3pm. Workshop Passes expire after 11 May 2022.
